Welcome to The Ultimate Eagles Story
This is the fifth year of the Eagles Story performed by Hotel California and this time is bigger and better than ever!
The show has a brand new format and includes material from the long awaited album "Long Road Out Of Eden", the first album of entirely new songs in 28 years! We have also revisited the classic Eagles songs that we have always performed and reworked the instrumentation and harmonies for an even better delivery of your favoured classics.
This radical rethink of all the songs has been made possible with the introduction of two new members of the band.
We welcome Scottish born Ed Jones as our new frontman on lead vocals and guitars. Ed's vocal range and his ability to sound like Glenn Frey has added that extra piece of authenticity to our sound. Ed's experience in the music industry is extensive and far reaching and he is well respected amongst those in "the know".
In the rhythm section, we welcome Mark Anderson on drums and percussion.
Mark is again Scottish born and has many years behind him in the studio and
live performance environments. Mark has fitted in really well with our long
term bass player and singer Gus Boyd to produce the tightest rhythm sound
we have produced to date. You can always tell great musicians because they
make it look easy!
As a warm up for this years Scottish shows, we had a very successful trip
to Australia in November playing to sell-out crowds at the Melbourne Arts
Centre where we showcased some songs from the new album two days after its
release. It's a hard job but somebody's got to do it right?? Our sincere thanks
go to Jim Delaney (JD Soundworx) and his missus for helping us with various
logistical aspects of the tour and for letting us use their studio for rehearsals.
The good news is they want us back this year for more!
As well as perfoming The Eagles Story in the theatre environment, Hotel California play at high level corporate events around the country. We have twice played alongside Don Felder (guitarist with the Eagles 1974 - 2001) at the prestigous Dunhill Golf Event. This is testament indeed to our credentials as the most sought after Eagles act in the country.
We look forward to seeing you at the shows once again. It's great to see the same faces returning year after year and we especially like to welcome newcomers to share the experience with us. See you all there.....!
